Welcome to the Vector Overlay Processes Teaching and Learning Tool. This interactive learning module consists of various lessons aimed at developing the skills necessary to assess a given scenario and apply the appropriate GIS vector overlay operation. On completion of the Vector Overlay Processes learning module, students should have a strong grasp of the algorithms behind Topological Vector Overlay processes used by Vector Based Geographical Information Systems.

There are three major components to the Vector Overlay Processes interactive learning module: Specific Theory, Vector Overlay Processing Algorithms, and Questions with Feedback. For best results, it is suggested that students work through all components of the Vector Overlay Processes interactive learning module in sequential order.

Please select the component of your choice to begin:

Note: Components of the interactive lessons require the Macromedia Shockwave plugin to run.
